After Hurricane Helene tore through our mountain communities, Rabbit and Tree Hawk spent 2.5 months straight helping anyone they could—veterans, neighbors, and families left reeling in the aftermath. No charge. No spotlight. Just doing what needed to be done.

Since then, they’ve continued to lend a hand wherever possible. But with the physical toll of the work, the wear on tools and equipment, and the ongoing need in the area, a shift had to happen.

Today, we still serve with the same heart, but now offer our services at fair, affordable prices—often well below what others charge. Our goal is simple: to leave your property better than we found it, and help you feel proud of your land again—especially after everything this region has endured.

🌳 Tree Hawk

With over 32 years of experience in arbor care, Tree Hawk has dedicated his life to the health, beauty, and preservation of trees. He operated as an ISA-Certified Arborist through his Florida-based company, Tree Hawk LLC, working across plant hardiness zones 8A to 11B since 2012.

A skilled DRT/SRT climber, Tree Hawk specializes in restorative tree work and avoids the use of climbing spikes whenever possible—prioritizing the long-term health and integrity of each tree. His mission is rooted in preservation over removal, always striving to keep a minimal ecological footprint in every project.

🐇 Rabbit

Known in the field as “Rabbit,” Billy Barthel is the boots-on-the-ground force behind Savage Saints. A resident of Spruce Pine, Rabbit experienced the devastation of Hurricane Helene firsthand—and has worked tirelessly ever since to help rebuild and support the community.

Rabbit runs the equipment operations on-site, including wood chippers, log splitters, and heavy-duty tools, ensuring every job gets done efficiently and safely.

With a background in security and IT, Rabbit relocated to the Little Switzerland area years prior, where he became a strong advocate for citizen-led accountability and transparent local governance. He’s worked to educate and empower the people of Mitchell County and beyond—believing that in a true republic, the people’s voice should always lead the way.

Rabbit has dedicated his life to serving others—just in his own way, with grit, truth, and relentless effort.
